Pavilion and Reservations

The Pavilion at Laurel Acres Park provides an excellent location for family reunions, birthday parties, and company picnics. Seating at the pavilion and use of the grills is on a first come-first serve basis unless reservation are made. Do to the high demand of holding events at the park, the pavilion often is reserved several months in advance. Because of its popularity, booking for weekends in the summer months has occured a year in advance.

The pavilion can be reserved for up to 5 hours at a time and only one reservation per day per group is allowed. Use of the pavilion by groups of 50 or less may be limited to half of the tables available in order to accomodate another small group or the general public.

Laurel Acres Park Rules and Regulations

1. Laurel Acres Park will be open for use from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. All gates and facilities will be locked at 10:00p.m.
2. Alcoholic Beverages are prohibited.
3. Absolutely no motorized vehicles of any kind are allowed anywhere in the park except deisgnated parking areas. Exceptions to this rule are emergency or maintenance vehicles.
4. Cooking allowed only on grills provided in the pavilion area using charcoal briquets. Grills must be estinguished before leaving the site.
5. Bicycle riders must extend the right-of-way to pedestrians in all areas of the park, keeping to the right at all times. Excessive speed or racing is prohibited.
6. Since there are no bridal trails, horseback riding is prohibited.
7. Dogs or other pet animals must be restrained on a leash (except for dog when inside the dog run).

8. Boating, ice skating or swimming are prohibited in the lake.
9. Fishing and model boat sailing are permitted in the lake.
10. Golfing is not permitted anywhere inside the park.
11. Sledding on the hill is permitted only in designated areas.
12. All rules and regulations cited herein and in Township Ordinance 1978-16 will apply. Violators will be prosecuted.
